WHAT WE
BELIEVE.

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God. It is not merely a collection of ancient writings, moral lessons, or religious history. Scripture is God-breathed—given by God to humanity through human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

It is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, and it remains the final authority for what we believe and how we live. From beginning to end, we believe Scripture tells one divine story: the story of a holy God pursuing, redeeming, correcting, forgiving, and restoring His creation through extraordinary grace.

Because Scripture is God's Word, we do not believe we have authority to rewrite its truths around our preferences. We are called to live beneath what God has spoken.

We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Not three gods. Not one God changing between three forms. One God. Three distinct Persons.

The Father is God. The Son is God. The Holy Spirit is God. All three are eternal. All three are fully divine. None was created. Before creation existed, God already existed in perfect fellowship within Himself.

Community is therefore not something God invented after creating humanity. Relationship exists within the very life of God.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. The Son did not begin in Bethlehem. In the beginning was the Word; He existed before creation, and through Him all things were made.

Jesus lived the perfect life humanity could never live. He never sinned. Although innocent, He willingly took upon Himself the judgment our sin deserved. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

On the third day, He rose bodily from the grave. Forty days later, He ascended into heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will return and establish His kingdom in its fullness.

We believe salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other Savior and no alternative path to reconciliation with God.

Salvation cannot be purchased through morality, religious performance, service, church attendance, or personal achievement. We are saved by grace through faith. Jesus accomplished what we could never accomplish for ourselves.

His sacrifice is sufficient for the sins of the world, and those who receive Him and believe in His name are given the right to become children of God. Good works do not purchase salvation; they are the fruit of a life being transformed by it.

We believe the Holy Spirit is God. He is not merely a feeling, atmosphere, energy, emotional experience, or religious force. He is the third Person of the Trinity.

The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, reveals truth, illuminates Scripture, gives spiritual life, produces godly fruit, empowers believers for ministry, and dwells within those who belong to Christ.

Christianity is more than intellectual agreement with doctrine. Through the Holy Spirit, God is present with His people and transforms them from within.

We believe prayer belongs to God. Jesus taught His disciples to pray to the Father, and Christians approach the Father through Jesus Christ, our mediator and High Priest, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We therefore do not pray to Mary, deceased Christians, saints, or any other spiritual intermediary. God alone is the proper object of Christian prayer, and Jesus Christ alone is the mediator between God and humanity.

We believe Scripture uses the word saints to describe believers who belong to Jesus Christ. Sainthood is not an elite spiritual category reserved for a small number of extraordinary Christians after death.

Every person who has been made holy through Christ belongs to the people of God. That does not mean every Christian lives perfectly; it means our identity is found in the One who has made us His.

We believe every human being is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity and worth. Every person should be treated with compassion, respect, truth, and love.

We also believe Scripture teaches that God created humanity male and female, and that our embodied sex is part of His created design rather than something morally insignificant or ours to redefine independently of Him.

Holding that conviction never gives Christians permission to ridicule, demean, mistreat, or hate anyone. We are committed to truth without cruelty and love without compromise.

We believe salvation changes the direction of a person's life. Christians still struggle, still sin, and still need grace every single day. But Scripture never presents grace as permission to become comfortable with rebellion against God.

Followers of Jesus are called to repent, pursue holiness, obey Scripture, love others, serve faithfully, practice integrity, and become increasingly conformed to the character of Christ.

We do not pursue holiness in order to convince God to save us. We pursue holiness because we belong to the One who already has.

We believe the Church is the body of Christ—the worldwide community of all who genuinely belong to Jesus. Believers are called to worship together, learn Scripture together, pray together, serve together, practice accountability, encourage one another, and participate faithfully in a local church.

STANDARD is not a replacement for the local church. We want this movement to strengthen, connect, teach, and equip Christians, then send them back into their churches and communities more deeply committed to Christ.

Christianity is more WE than ME.

We believe every Christian has been called into the mission of God. The Great Commission was not given exclusively to pastors, theologians, missionaries, or ministry leaders.

Every believer has been entrusted with the gospel. We are called to make disciples, love our neighbors, serve the vulnerable, proclaim Christ, practice generosity, pursue justice and mercy, and live as witnesses to the kingdom of God.

We believe earthly death is not the end. Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, evil will finally be judged, and God will bring His redemptive plan to completion.

Those who belong to Christ will dwell eternally with Him. Therefore, this earthly life matters—not because we can earn eternity through good behavior, but because eternity is real, Jesus is Lord, and our response to Him matters.
