BIBLE TEACHER / CHRISTIAN COMMUNICATOR

A BROWN BOY WHO TALKS JUST A LITTLE TOO MUCH.

Even St. Julien is a Bible teacher, Christian communicator, seminary student, journalist, and founder of STANDARD.

A native of Mire, Louisiana, Even is loud, deeply sentimental, curious about almost everything, and rarely accused of being quiet. He loves people, loves a good laugh, loves Christmas at a level that probably needs its own committee—and has been finding reasons to communicate for most of his life.

That lifelong instinct to tell stories eventually became something deeper: a calling to spend his life helping people understand the truth of Scripture clearly and take Jesus seriously.

THE BOY WITH THE NEWS CHANNEL.

At nine years old, Even started EVEN News from home. What began with a kid making newscasts became nearly a decade of journalism, production, digital media, interviews, community coverage, and enough cameras to make “the boy with the news channel” a pretty accurate description.

The project grew with him. Along the way, his work and story were featured by television, radio, and print outlets across Louisiana. EVEN News concluded in 2025, and that chapter is now continuing through USNX News, the independent news platform Even is developing today.

EVEN NEWS → USNX NEWS

Even launched EVEN News at nine years old in 2016. What began with homemade newscasts became nearly a decade of journalism, digital media, storytelling, interviews, and community coverage. That lifelong love of news now continues through USNX News.

BUILDING

PRODUCTION + ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Through Prejean Media, live productions, community shows, marketing work, and ventures like Deuce’s Cookies, Even spent his teen years learning how to turn an idea into something people could actually see, hear, attend, and remember.

COMMUNITY

NONPROFIT + CIVIC WORK

His work has included nonprofit leadership, animal rescue fundraising, festival media and marketing, civic involvement, community projects, and philanthropy—including Christmas outreach, because Christmas is serious business in the St. Julien world.

BUT MINISTRY WAS THERE FIRST.

For all the projects, cameras, productions, meetings, and entrepreneurial ideas, ministry had been quietly following Even for years.

As a kid and teenager, he would preach in his bedroom—to a camera, to himself, and occasionally to whatever animals happened to be available as a congregation. Sometimes it was ministry. Sometimes, admittedly, he just liked hearing himself talk.

In 2021, Even tried to begin a ministry of his own. Looking back, he sees that season as an early glimpse of a calling he did not yet have the maturity to fully understand. The dream was real. So were the distractions. The ministry faded as other ambitions, relationships, accomplishments, and worldly pursuits took center stage.

He never stopped knowing who Jesus was. He just became comfortable living without allowing Jesus to be Lord of everything.

FAMILY IS MY HEART.

If there is one thing competing with Even’s love of Christmas, it is family. Actually, family wins.

He is fiercely family-oriented—a son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, and the person very likely to turn a birthday, Sunday dinner, or Christmas gathering into a full production because apparently a normal celebration will not do.

Family has also shaped the deepest parts of his faith. Remarkable seasons of loss and grief forced questions about death, eternity, resurrection, heaven, and the promises of Scripture out of the theoretical and into real life.

THE LOSSES DID NOT MAKE EVERY QUESTION EASY. THEY MADE THE ANSWERS MATTER MORE.

THE DANGEROUS PRAYER.

Even grew up around Christianity. Church was familiar. Jesus was familiar. The problem was not that he did not know who Jesus was. It was that he had become perfectly content knowing about Him without fully surrendering to Him.

“God, close the doors that need to close. Remove what needs to go. Expose what needs to be exposed. Bring me back to You.”

God answered. Not comfortably. Closed doors, changing relationships, disappointment, conviction, and grief exposed things Even had learned to excuse. He describes seasons marked by pride, judgment, deceitfulness, inappropriate choices, and chasing satisfaction in the wrong places. Borrowing Paul’s language, he has called himself a “chief of sinners”—not because sin is the hero of his testimony, but because grace is.

“I JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH JESUS.”

The change was not instant perfection. Even would be the first person to laugh at that suggestion. What changed was the direction of his life.

Scripture became more than something familiar from church. It became the living, breathing Word of God—a divine story he wanted to understand deeply enough to spend his life communicating it. That hunger became a calling toward Bible teaching, preaching, worship, and Christian communication.

Today, Even studies at Leavell College of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in the BA+MDiv pathway, studying Scripture, theology, biblical interpretation, and the original languages in preparation for a lifetime of ministry.

MORE “WE” THAN “ME.”

In 2026, Even helped begin Koino Life, a Bible-study community built around Scripture, prayer, accountability, fellowship, and shared life.

Koino Life gave him a place to discover something that became central to his view of ministry: people do not only need truth preached at them. They need Christians willing to walk with them afterward.

Study together. Pray together. Eat. Laugh. Ask difficult questions. Confess. Hold one another accountable. Keep pointing one another back to Jesus.

SHARING LIFE. PURSUING CHRIST.

THEN CAME STANDARD.

The communicator. The nine-year-old news kid. The producer. The marketer. The entrepreneur. The ministry dream from 2021. The detour. The grief. The dangerous prayer. The Bible teacher. The friend who discovered how badly Christians need other Christians.

Those pieces finally converged in STANDARD.

Even founded STANDARD not because he believes he has perfectly lived according to the Standard, but because he knows what it is like to live beneath it—and to discover the grace of being called back to Christ.

THE WORLD HAS ITS STANDARD.
JESUS CHRIST IS OUR STANDARD.

THIS WAS NEVER ABOUT MAKING ME THE STANDARD.

STANDARD was not created to make me famous, put my face everywhere, or convince anybody that I have Christianity figured out. Quite frankly, that would be false advertising.

I know what it is like to know Jesus and still live far from Him. I know what it means to need grace. I do not want this to become another Christian organization where we attend something exciting, get emotional, take pictures, go home, and continue living exactly the same.

I want community. I want accountability. I want Scripture opened. I want hard questions asked. I want people praying for each other, serving each other, laughing together, confessing when we fail, and helping one another return to Christ.

None of us are the Standard. Jesus is.

If my life communicates anything, I pray it communicates that God can take a loud brown boy who spent years running after the wrong things and redirect that same life toward something eternal. This has been my dream longer than STANDARD has had a name.

This is not casual. Jesus matters. Truth matters. Eternity matters.
